Free Activities at the Tett Centre through April

Free Hip Hop/Break dancing for ages 6-9 on Saturday April 4 from 11-12.  Lots of other opportunities for all ages too!

Physical Literacy 201 Training

Facilitated by Drew Mitchell, Director of Physical Literacy for Canadian Sport for Life, this Mini-Summit will provide participants with the ability to execute, score and interpret the Physical Literacy Assessment for Youth (PLAY) tools. There are numerous opportunities and applications for these tools: physical literacy awareness for parents and coaches, tracking of physical literacy, and assessing the impact of your programs on physical literacy development and research applications.  Registration is FREE and seating is LIMITED.

SHINE Dance Competitions

April 9 – 12, Ambassador Hotel.  Check out the amazing dancers from our area!  Admission is free.

Outdoor Play: Good Medicine for Children’s Health

April 13 4:30PM, Queen’s University…Dr. Ian Janssen will be presenting a public lecture on physical activity and children’s health as part of the annual Heart & Stroke Foundation/Queen’s lecture series.  All are welcome to attend.

U13 Ontario Cup

April 24 – 26, Various locations.  Cheer on the bantam boys provincial tournament!

Limestone Race Weekend

April 25 & 26, City Hall.  It’s not too late to register for the annual 5K, 10K, Half Marathon Races or the 3K Start to Finish Kid’s Race.
