The Grade 5 & 9 ActivPass is back starting Monday, Sept 26!
What is the ActivPass?
The Grade 5 and 9 ActivPass gives students FREE access to recreation facilities at designated times.
From September through August, grade 5 and 9 students in public and private schools in the greater Kingston area can use their ActivPass. To access facilities, Grade 5 students show their physical activity pass, which they receive at school, and grade 9 students show their student identification card or an ActivPass, which can be picked up in their school office.
Students can enjoy activities such as swimming, ice skating, curling and use of gymnasiums or fitness centres at participating organizations.

Free City Transit Pass for Grade 9-12 Students!
Students attending Kingston high schools get FREE access to Kingston Transit from Sept. 1st-Aug. 31st.
Students can obtain their bus cards from either the City Hall Pay It Centre or the Cataraqui Centre Guest Services desk by showing either: a) a current timetable and birth certificate, or b) a current high school student photo ID. There is no cost to obtain the initial bus card for new grade 9 students; however, there is a $3 fee for a replacement card and a $3 charge for grade 10-12 students. (Note that children age 14 and under, in kindergarten to grade 8, can also travel free of charge on Kingston transit and do not require a bus pass.)
More About the ActivPass
The ActivPass, spearheaded by Kingston Gets Active, aims to get students active by reducing transportation and financial barriers. The idea behind this free program is to provide children and youth with easy and accessible active opportunities so they can be active on a regular basis. Instead of sitting in front of the screens, kids have a healthier option to get them moving. Many thanks to our partners for helping to make this initiative possible.
