April is Kingston Gets Active Month!

Are you thinking of trying a NEW activity? Have some favourites already? It’s time to run, jump, and play every day!  During the entire months of April and September, local sport and recreation organizations host FREE activities, information sessions, and active challenges to Kingston and the community!  There’s something for every age and every ability.

During the month of April, take advantage of free physical activities every day.  Try something new, get active and have fun.  Activities include walking or wheeling on the K&P Trail with KCAT, walking with the Kingston Outdoor Adventure Club, urban pole walking, skating, swimming, fencing, martial arts, junior tennis, early years gym activities, and fitness classes like pilates, yoga, group cycle, & Zumba.  Download a calendar below.  You can also tune in to the Kingston Gets Active Facebook page and Twitter feed.

KGA Month Calendars

KGA Month calendars can be downloaded on our website.  You can also pick up a copy at Artillery Park and at participating organizations towards the end of August and March.

1 Join the KGA Month Challenge

Print out the Wellness Challenge Passport and track your progress. At the end of KGA Month, submit it at Artillery Park Aquatic Centre or by emailing a picture ( to be entered for prizes.

2 Challenge yourself with these wellness choices:

  • get active
  • connect more
  • be mindful
  • eat healthy

3 Track your wellness choices

Use the passport to track your activities. Can you make a choice in each wellness category?

4 Submit your completed passport by May 8th for a chance to win a prize!

Drop by Artillery Park Aquatic Centre and drop off your passport or take a picture and email it to us ( You will be entered to win an iPod shuffle or one of our other great prizes!
